Item analysis is a process to examine student responses to individual test items.
2. Why do we need to analyse test items?
Once a test is administered we need to assess the quality of items and the test as a whole.
3. What do we do once the items are analysed?
We can either improve the items which can be use again for later tests or we can eliminate ambiguous or misleading items.
4. Why do you think that item analysis is important?
Item analysis not only increases instructors’ skills in developing test items but it also provide information on what areas to be emphasised and explained in detail and clarity in the classroom.
