As interesting as the title sounds, the content of the training is even more fascinating.
The training was held in OUM Graduate Center, Jalan Tun Ismail today from 8.30am until 4.30pm. The coordinator, Ms Bee Tin Teoh is an experienced art therapist who has been in the area for more than 10 years, and she is the owner of Art Therapy Academy.
The training was opened for students of Masters in Early Childhood Education. They had to produce art works, but the focus was not on the product but rather on the process; how did you feel when you choose the colours that you dislike? How did you feel when you have to paint with your fingers and palms? What do you feel when you spread the water on the paper?
All the activities were done to trigger sensational memory which can help them to reduce stress and to open up; express feeling.
Students had good experiences and they enjoyed the training.
We hope that everyone can benefit from the training for self care and to understand their small little students more.
