Dr. Aliza binti Ali

Dr Aliza Ali is an Acting Cluster Chair and a Programme Director Master of Early Childhood Education (MECHE) of Cluster of Education and Social Sciences, OUM. During her master study Aliza had conducted research on preschool teachers’ knowledge and perception towards the use of play-based approach in children’s language learning. During her PhD, she has developed play-based instruction module for preschool teachers which involved data collection from Subject Matter Expert (SME) and preschool teachers of the MoE.

Dr Aliza early exposure in early childhood education was back in 2001 when she started her career as early childhood educator. Then, in 2004, she joined Smart Reader Worldwide Sdn Bhd. where she was involved with preschool teachers’ training and the development of early childhood programs. In 2012, she joined the Department of Early Childhood Studies, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) as a lecturer. Eventually, early year 2017, she joined OUM as a senior lecturer for early childhood programme. Throughout her involvement in early childhood education, she has trained many preschool teachers from Malaysia and Singapore, published more than 50 children’s books, academic book, chapter in book, academic journals included in SCOPUS and ISI and presented conference proceedings both in national and international conferences.
