Dr Rosinah Binti Mahmood

Dr Rosinah binti Mahmood is currently working with the OUM, she is responsible for the Cluster of Education and Social Sciences (CESS) courses. She has been the Programme Director of Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching since 2012. Rosinah Mahmood has been in the educational scene since 1979 with a variety of positions in the Government Primary and Secondary Schools finalising in Head of Department in Research and Development in Teachers’ Training Institute. In addition, she participated in the promotion of School Sports and was a very active sports athlete, Johor hockey player, hockey coach, voluntary official and referee for over 28 years locally and internationally representing Malaysia in three SEA Game and Intercontinental Hockey Games. She joined OUM in 2012 as Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Director adding the private education sector to her vast experience.

Her experience as a teacher trainer started when she joined Temenggong Ibrahim Teachers’ Training College in JB as the Head Unit in PE department and Head Department in R&D and Professionalism at Specialist Teachers’ Training Institute in Kuala Lumpur. During her involvement as an educator and teachers’ trainer, she has conducted workshops for teachers and coaches locally and internationally. Dr Rosinah has presented many papers at local and international conferences. Throughout her involvement in research, she has conducted research with children and many teaching institutions including collaborating with the Ministry of Education (MoE).
