Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin

PROFESSOR DATUK DR. MOHD TAJUDIN MD NINGGAL is a Licensed Professional Counsellor, Certified Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner (NLP), and a US trained counselling psychologist providing integrative counselling, coaching, and psychological consulting to government agencies, corporate sectors, colleges and universities, professional associations, expatriates, NGOs, and the general public. Professor Tajudin had served as the Multicultural Consultant and Trainer with the Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI) during his six-year stint in the United States. He received his Bachelor of Education (Hons.) (Counselling & Guidance) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 1990. He then pursued for his Master of Arts (Counselling Psychology) in 1994 and later obtained his PhD (Counselling & Supervision) in 1998 from Western Michigan University, USA.

Professor Tajudin is the author and test developer of the first Malaysian Online Psychological Expert System consisted of two applications; i) TAJMA Online Personality Plus (TPe+) and ii) TAJMA Online Career Interest Plus (TCIP+). His 30 years of professional experiences in the field of counselling psychology has been focused on a wide range of issues and services notably psychological testing and assessment; corporate coaching; stress management, individual and group psychotherapy; career counselling; multicultural counseling; child, family, marital and relationship counselling; and gender identity disorder. His passion is in writing, and to date he has written seven books on counselling and student development.

Professor Tajudin had also served as the Board Member of the Malaysian Board of Counsellors, Malaysian Counselling Advisory Council, and Chairman of the Malaysian Counselling Expert Panel. Currently, he is the Professional Member of the American Counselling Association (ACA), British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and Association of Psychological and Educational Counsellors of Asia-Pacific (APECA). He is also the founder and master trainer of the latest alternative counselling therapy, Al-Ghazalian Psycho-Spiritual Counselling and has presented more than 200 seminar papers and workshops in the field of counselling psychology nationally and internationally.

At present, Professor Tajudin is the Visiting Psychological Consultant with the Twin-Towers Medical Centre, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur and Professor of Counselling Psychology at the Open University Malaysia (OUM). Prior to joining OUM, he was the Past Deputy President I and Founding Member of the Malaysian Psychometric Association (MPA). Professor Tajudin had humbly served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Director of the University Counselling Centre, and Professor of Counselling Psychology at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for 29 wonderful years! He is looking forward to share his knowledge, expertise, and experiences with his colleagues and students at OUM.
